Surprise! :)

Roses - Rozen

http://www.mendocinofloraldesign.com/sendflowers/pics/prettyinpink3.jpg

My husband surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of yellow and pink roses this morning.
All flowers are beautiful but roses are exquisite - truly this girl's favorite flower. What a wonderful way to start the day today!

How lovely and thoughtful too. I love any man who buys flowers spontaneously and roses, well I am with you on that one. My favourites are the gorgeous smelling tea-roses. Nice one Mr. SeaSpray!!

Hi Angel, Dr Deb and M.A. - thank you!

Well, tonight younger son has his H.S. graduation. Another milestone. I didn't bother buying waterproof mascara as I figure i will be too busy taking pictures or video taping him. That is if I don't melt into a puddle because it is supposed to be really hot and humid. :)

Oh my! Those are gorgeous!! I can practically smell them through the screen! LOL

Happy birthday!! And I hope he got a good kiss (at least) for the beautiful bouquet!

What a sweet guy. Roses truly are special. When I look at a perfect rose, I can actually feel my heart fill up with happiness. I know - I'm weird, but it's true.

Hi Jenster - thank you and YES he did. :)

Hi Bloghore - not weird at all. They do that to me to. When he came in I turned around and exclaimed "ROSES!" and jumped up and went right over to him.

Roses go straight to my heart. They are my favorite flower. :)

“I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt~

Just thought that was amusing. :)

they were beautiful flowers! nice party too. so bummed about my stomach and missing all the good food and chris' graduation. :(

I want to play scrabble or do something social soon. I'm itching to just get summertime off to a good, fun start!

also we have to get your digital camera operating so that we can upload YOUR photos of your flowers, etc. I want to help! We just need cables and I'll install photoshop and show you exactly what to do!

Hey SeaSpray - Just wanted you to know I tagged you for a meme. You can read the rules at my blog. :o)

Hi Peggy - we missed you too. However, it was so darn hot in there that it would not have been good for you if you weren't feeling well. I was sure I would cry because I have been feeling so sentimental about this milestone but I didn't and I am thinking that is because I didn't have a fluid left for tears as it was coming out in beads of sweat! Also, I was too busy taking pics and videotaping. :)

Jonathan saved the day by bringing that tape and then having it passed up to us via people in the crowd. :) Best laid plans... I can't believe I left it on the table!

Yes, I would love to be able to put my own pics up. Thank you for the offer to help. :) Yes - very much looking forward to summer activities, especially heading for some day trips toward the ocean. I am having ocean withdrawal now and can't believe I didn't even go for 1 day last summer. The sea is definitely calling. maybe by next summer we'll be able to do the beach house thing again since I will be back to working soon. :)

Hi Sis - Thanks for asking. It was very nice and HOT! I of course was feeling very sentimental and I got some really good shots of the kids getting their diplomas and walking off the podium and walking up our way. It was so neat picturing them when they were little guys in kindergarten and now looking like men. I loved seeing their exuberance post ceremony! Then later they went to a spa for an all nighter for Project Graduation. Great idea! The students had full use of the Spa, a DJ, food etc and then were bussed back to the school. He got in around 6 this morning and said they all had a good time. :)

I am totally wiped out today and slept late as I have been burning the candles at both ends more so than usual and I think also the excitement/emotions of everything. :) maybe I will put a pic up of him when I get my own stuff into the computer and if it is o.k. with him.

Planning a big barbecue for him Sunday - July 22. :)

Thanks Jenster - Thanks for the tag. I look forward to doing it although I have memes to do from April and May. I just got some kind writer's block but do enjoy them because you get to know the peopla a little better and they are just fun. maybe I will do them this week. :)

the more you talk about the ocean, the more i just want to take off and go! I'm starting to feel better so we'll probably come over to swim and hang out sometime this week! I also need to pick up that camera and Dev's bike!

Hi SeaSpray, thanks for replying even though you're so wiped out. Hope you get some rest. The graduation sounds as if it was a great time...I like the idea of the Grads. going to a Spa afterwards....what a fabulous idea! There isn't really an equivalent over here unless kids go to university and even then the graduation is such a stuffy, formal affair that no 'hoopla's' tend to occur except perhaps amongst small cliques of students. It's a shame. However, I have an American cousin whom I have a photograph of in his mortar board and gown, looking all macho as he graduated from High School many years ago (geesh, it makes me feel really old thinking about it) and in another album I have a photograph of him that I took when he was 2 years old, in nothing but a diaper, running around my uncle's sports car He certainly wasn't looking so macho there!

So glad you had a good time. The spa idea is great one. I bet those kids loved it. One of the memories they will carry with them through life.

Glad to see Sisyphus on here, Hi Sisyphus!

Hi Peggy - great idea! C'mon over! the water IS perfect and I am going out to vacuum shortly. :)

Hi Sis - I love making those comparisons with the photos.

While I was still in the hospital,I took an excellent picture (says me) of one of the obgyn's that helped to deliver Chris.

He (the doc not my newborn son - tee hee)was wearing a rich brown blazer and holding Christopher. he and the staff liked the pic so much that they had it blown up to poster size and he STILL has it on his office door after all these years! so I am going to give him my son's senior pic to put with it. :)

I also took an excellent one of the other obgyn (my main one) and again they loved it and wanted another copy but he already had a poster made up but still liked his pic.

I gave both docs a 5x7 of themselves and the negatives. it warmed my heart to know they liked the pics so much. :)

Hi Angel - yes - they had a great time and he was lethargic ALL day. :)

iI is good to see Sis around. :)
