What's your ideal career?

Your Career Type: Social

You are helpful, friendly, and trustworthy.

Your talents lie in teaching, nursing, giving information, and solving social problems.

You would make an excellent:

Counselor - Dental Hygienist - Librarian

Nurse - Parole Officer - Personal Trainer

Physical Therapist - Social Worker - Teacher

The worst career options for your are realistic careers, like truck driver or farmer.

Worst career choice-truck driver or farmer? Ha! That's an understatement for sure...I can't drive a stick shift and I hate bugs and manure! Not crazy about the dental hygienist tho. I would take pleasure in helping the patient to feel comfortable but dentistry does not appeal to me. I always feel a little squirrelly in the dentist office. I like them all but I'd rather get a pap!

On my next pap...after the exam...I look forward to playing tug-of-war with the doctor for the speculum because my kegels are so darn strong now! One of the perks in being a urology patient. ;)

I'm going to take it but I'll bet it says what they all do- I'm best suited to be a

Left Handed Gay Chinese Waiter named Arnold.

Mine actually came out different from yours. That's probably a first. The worst for me came out to be bank teller or secretary. You've got that right! No offense to any bank people , but I'd go crazy cooped up in a bank all day. Just think of it...all that money and you aren't taking any home in your pay check. ha,ha.

Funny John-glad you liked it! Yes I will check it out. :)

Hi Rositta- i could have gone 2 ways with it. The 2nd would have been enterprising. When I took the career testing many moons ago, I scored 1st in enterprising and then teaching, social work, etc.

I grew up believing I would become a teacher but unfortunately because of home life lost my focus and never got back on track.

But...Back in 2nd grade, I collected the most unicef and from that point on have always loved raising money on my own although I am better at it for a cause other than myself. My own business...I find I feel sorry for people or obligated and cut into my profits to give a break. Anyway...i love the conquest feeling of a sale, good deal, or successfully raising for a cause. I can't wait to see Oprah's new contest program to see who can win by giving away the most!

When I say conquest...I don't mean by taking advantage or a bad product but rather when you know something is going to be good for them or for a good cause and your powers of persuasion help them to see the vision for the better and then to know they will benefit from that...I find that to be most rewarding. so you can see I am enterprising but I went the other way because in the long haul...I think I prefer teaching, guiding, ministering, helping and being supportive and derive more satisfaction from that. Both attributes can make profound differences in people's lives and so really I suppose I am a mixture. ha! This could be a post! Oh and I did take a real estate course before i had my sons but didn't do anything with it.

Hi Angel-I did work in a bank once...B-o-r-i-n-g. I was a proof operator, stuck in a back room all by myself with no people contact, not even by phone, and had to punch check amounts into the system. Talk about killing one's spirit. Everyone was very nice but the job wasn't for me at 18 years old...still wouldn't be. I at least have to be able to communicate or it is a waste of my talents. :)

Correction - on something I said. I took the real estate test but failed the math section. It was divided into 5 sections at the time and i didn't miss by much. The other 4 I did well and scored especially high in contracts.

By the way...that proves what I have always said..."Give me words and I can do anything...give me math and I'm screwed." Of course I can do the average stuff and so I don't know why I botched it but it involved measurements, square footage etc.,and I don't remember what else.

There was a real estate agency interested in hiring me after I got my license and he encouraged me to go back and take the test. But my husband never wanted me to do it. And then i allowed negative thoughts to come in and started thinking things like "What if I end up alone in a deserted area with someone that hurts me?" and that kind of thinking and so I never went back to retest. I got pregnant soon after that, worked a month but almost miscarried and that was the end of working for a while anyway.

SeaSpray, your career guide picture is a uterus. How did you manage that? ;)

I didn't-that's what popped up, but it is rather symbolic of my recent posts. :)
